Only a few books this week. Turns out with all this free time for summer, my brain can’t handle too many words on pages. Doesn’t help that I’m still attempting Mason & Dixon at work (and got a weird cross reference with a non-fiction book I’m reading to characters within Mason & Dixon), and I’ve got a book on Access Databases to get through.

As a writer’s reference, the Complete Idiot’s Guide was apparently just that… A book on erotic romance that referred to cunt as the “c” word, and didn’t once say fuck. No cursing at all. My guide to characters is dirtier than that. Also, no real prompts, or tips on how to write a better sex scene. So, not helpful at all, really, except to expound what other writing guides talk about, and how they relate to the genre.
