Slow down. 16 credits at a 4-year school is a crap of a lot of credits. Seriously, for your first semester, when everything will be new and you'll be making a shitton of adjustments, 16 is enough. That's SIXTEEN hours of classes a week! The rule at U.Va. was 1 hour of class was 2 hours of homework, so 16 credit hours was actually 48 hours of school stuff a week.
