In December, I predicted that ME and I would read 52 books by April. And I was right, as usual. Of course, she’s read 79, while I’m at exactly 52, but whatever. It’s not like she’s got a job or goes to school or anything. She’s got way more time to read.
20 books on the pile is an improvement, even if I’m not super thrilled about all of them. It’s like, since they’ve been on the pile for so long, my mind just doesn’t see the point in cracking the spine anymore. Any book ME gives me preemts these by a landslide.
I don’t know If I can make 100 books by June, but I am definitely going to try. I’ve got a fifth of them sitting right next to me every night as I go to sleep. Now I just need to get out and find 80 more. I think the library and I are going to get very up close and personal in the next months.
But ha! 52 books in three months. How many did you get read?

I’ve probably read 5 books this year. Eek! I love to read, but really don’t find myself “having the time.” If I got away from the computer more, I bet I’d find myself magically having more time, right? Heh.
Erin, if I had been in Costa Rica for the last three months, I’m sure I wouldn’t have even gotten five books done.
My lack of a social life (because according to people, me and ME in the same room reading doesn’t count), I have plenty of time to read. If I could tear myself away from the computer, I’m sure I would have gotten even more done.
You dirty wanker! I can’t believe this! You are the one who wanted it to be a competition, I just wanted to see if I could read that fast, and now you’re making up excuses why I read more than you. Okay, so I don’t go to school right now because I’m done until Chico. And maybe I don’t have a “real” job, but I do work and some other stuff. It’s not like I sit around all day reading one book after another…after another…after another…but how awesome would that be? One hundred by June, hmmm? We so should have bet money on this.
Oh my.. I wished I had so much time to read! I love biographies but unfortunately, I’ve got a thesis to submit by July!
ME: I didn’t really want a commpetition, but seriously? I didn’t think you’d out-read me by that much so I must convince myself it’s because you have far more free time than I do. Even if you probably don’t.

Josh: don’t feel bad. The only reason I’ve made it this far is because the internets have been boring lately, I’ve given up TV mostly, and well, my friend is beating my ass and I hate to loose.
