Because there is nothing I like least than being wrong. And I have got to take a long-, difficult-book hiatus, or it might put me off reading for the rest of the year. But, I will definitely have to check out <em>The Infinte Jest</em>. Because I love footnoted footnotes. ME isn’t very relenting like that–a book is a book is a book–so I’ll definitely have to wait on that. Because there is nothing I like least than being wrong.

I tried that once... didn't get much past the 5th page (I'm I'm a Faulkner fan, so I'm used to odd prose). When you finish Ulysses, might I suggest for your next long book The Infinite Jest. I haven't read it, but it is huge, and as a novel actually has copious footnotes (even the footnotes have footnotes)! I'd wait 'till after April, though, or make ME give you credit for at least 5 books for it. -Tony Wow! Ulysses!
